Because family isn’t just the people – it’s also the ones with paws, whiskers, and yes, even feathers too! Your pets are woven into the fabric of your everyday life. They’re the ones who greet you at the door without fail, who curl up beside you on the sofa, who make your house feel like a home. They deserve to be in the portrait too.

We absolutely love welcoming the whole family through our doors – dogs, cats, and even the odd chicken have all had their moments in front of the cameras. Because one day, you’ll want to remember them exactly as they were. Fluffy, chaotic, wonderful, and completely and utterly yours.

Every pet is different, and every photography session reflects that. Some dogs bound through the door ready to steal the show and absolutely will not share the spotlight with anyone. Some cats arrive with a certain quiet dignity and make it clear that everything will proceed on their terms. Whether you want a gorgeous portrait of the whole gang together, a solo session that captures your pet’s personality in all its weird and wonderful detail, or something just between the two of you, we’ve got you.

We also offer gentle, beautifully handled end of life portrait sessions, because some goodbyes deserve to be marked with something truly special. However you’d like to remember them (silly, majestic, scruffy, or impossibly cute) we’ll make sure you have something to treasure forever.

First things first, hop on a quick call with our team and we’ll talk through all the possibilities. We like to keep things relaxed, clear, and enjoyable, so you can feel excited and prepared from the start. We’ll walk you through what happens next, what to expect, what to wear and what to bring for your furry friend.

GRAB A DATE

We know how tricky it is with pets – there’s always a walk to go on, a gate to be sniffed, a dinner time to be had, which is why we have lots of dates and times to suit you and your furry friend. Grab something that works for you and your pet, and that means we have even more fun when we get together in the studio.

LET’S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD

When you arrive at our studio, we’ll help you and your pet settle in and feel at ease from the very beginning. We’ll guide you every step of the way so it feels natural, playful, and unforced. There will be treats for your pet and fresh water (cause modeling is thirst work!) Your session lasts up to one hour, during which you’ll all be posing and having fun. We bring out the real connections between your furry friends – lots of love, laughter and tenderness so your images reflect exactly who you are.

THE BIG REVEAL

We’ll schedule a Zoom Reveal and Ordering Session so you can see your images for the first time. We’ll help you choose your favorites and talk about where they might look best in your home. From there, our team works behind the scenes to refine each selected portrait. We’ll polish the light, soften any distractions, and give every image a beautiful and finished feel.

YOU’VE GOT MAIL

Everyone loves receiving something special in the mail, and your images will arrive at your doorstep from our world-class labs in Italy and Germany, ready to fill your walls. Photography is our way of preserving life’s beautiful, unscripted moments (and the furry friends who share it), so let’s tell your incredible, crazy, wonderful story together.

QUESTIONS

Bring your pet’s favorite treats or toys that will make them happy and help them feel right at home. We’ll provide a water bowl and the space to stretch out their paws. It’s a great idea to have your dog groomed about a week before the session. And, if you want to dress them up, bring their favorite outfit too!

Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on the number of people or pets in your session. Portrait sessions are by appointment only, Thursday through Sunday each week.

Yes! We love for you to bring your mom, your uncle, your cousins. Let us know who is coming when you’re scheduling your session with our studio coordinator so we can be prepared. We’ll work with you to find an appointment that will allow your group the time they need in front of the camera.

ichard Hill Studio is North Texas’ Premiere Black and White Studio. We are known for our classic and timeless B&W style. However, for our clients who prefer color, just let us know during your Zoom Reveal & Ordering Session and we’ll provide you with those color add-on options.

We will schedule a Zoom Reveal and Ordering Session at a convenient time within the week following your portrait session so you can view your photos and make your portrait selections in the comfort of your own home. A member of our portrait team will guide you through the selection process, putting together a custom package that best suits your home, aesthetic and budget.

No. We know that all our furry friends need their own space, so we make sure to allow enough time in between sessions for every one to feel like they’re the star of the show.
