At Richard Hill Studio, we believe that truly great photography is about so much more than just taking a picture. It’s about creating something that stops you in your tracks every single time you walk past it. We create luxury fine art portrait experiences for North Texas families who want more than a quick snapshot – they want something crafted with care, intention, and a real eye for the kind of image that belongs on a wall and stays there for generations.

Richard and Jacqueline are the co-owners of the studio – partners in business and life, and proof that coffee may actually be the most important leadership tool ever invented. Married for over 30 years, they’ve raised three kids in East Dallas and are now gently (but persistently) recruiting them into the family business. For many years, Richard lived behind the camera shaping the artistic vision, while Jacqueline made sure everything actually worked, the schedules, the details, the sanity.

THE

FOUNDERS

Today, Richard serves as Creative Director and captain of the ship, while Jacqueline continues to keep the entire operation running with precision and grace. They genuinely love working together and when they’re not in the studio, you’ll usually find them exploring coffee shops and bookstores across America – still brainstorming, still laughing, and still probably ordering one more cup. Professional. Experienced. Slightly over-caffeinated. And very good at what they do.

MARLEN

MASTER PHOTOGRAPHER

Marlen is a master photographer (and a professional ballet dancer!) who knows exactly when to click the shutter. He photographs families, pets, athletes, and dancers with an instinct for timing, posture, and those blink-and-you-miss-it moments that make you look natural, confident, and far more coordinated than you felt. He has a gift for making sessions feel playful, creative, and full of fun—perfect if you are thinking, “I have no idea what to do with my hands.”

JOSI

VIDEOGRAPHER, EDITOR & STUDIO COORDINATOR

This is Josi. She’s been both behind and in front of Richard’s lens since she was little but now she spends way more time behind it! Josi is our videographer, editor and studio coordinator all wrapped into one. When she’s not at the studio, she’s in Chicago ice plunging into Lake Michigan at 37 degrees and looking for the next best taco spot up north.

NOAH

STUDIO MANAGER

This is Noah, our studio manager. He keeps everything humming from logistics to client experience. Outside the studio, he has spent years rock climbing and even lived in Yosemite! He also plays banjo and performed on America’s Got Talent when he was just 11 years old. Around here, he brings that same mix of calm, character, and range to all he does.

RANJANI

POST PRODUCTION EDITOR

Ranjani has worked for the studio since 2021, but she has known Richard since she was a toddler! Now she’s our in-house editor and client fulfilment coordinator. She provides her expert eye for detail and is always happy to assist. When she’s not at her laptop, she can be found hiking in the Colorado mountains.
